AC Induction Motors
AC induction hoist and traction motors offer
higher efficiency and smaller size than DC sepex or series wound
motors with the same output and thermal performance.
They are without commutator and brushes and require no maintenance.
With this type of motor, acceleration and braking torque at higher
speeds are not limited by the commutator, which results in shorter
stopping distances without the use of a mechanical brake. They
also offer longer battery life and more precise control. |
